Gabeln Studio is an art and UI/UX Design studio based in Bandung, Indonesia. We are a collective of creative minds who value personality, emotion, and the unconventional movement of art. Our philosophy is simple: design should never be ordinary. Formerly known as Forks Web Studio, we evolved into Gabeln Studio to push beyond traditional digital aesthetics, embracing a bolder, more expressive approach to branding and design. Our journey has shaped us into a studio that challenges industry norms, helping brands break free from convention and claim their own unique identity. We exist to be a bridge for businesses that refuse to blend in—guiding them toward a presence that is raw, intentional, and deeply reflective of their vision. Prologue Gabeln Studio (Chapter 1: Why we exist)
For all the paths we’ve walked as Forks Web Studio, we’ve realized something: the pieces of our puzzle were still scattered. We spent so much time searching for the perfect fit that we failed to see the bigger picture. We overlooked the edges, the context, and the alignment necessary to complete it.
The truth? We lost sight of our purpose. We became consumed by what lay directly in front of us, too focused on immediate goals to ask the bigger questions: Why do we exist? What is our mission? What kind of movement do we want to inspire? Somewhere along the way, we forgot to look back and reflect. Instead, we chased the fleeting highs of the moment. And that—if we’re honest—was our greatest regret.
But this year, we paused. We revisited the foundation we built with Forks Web Studio, and what we found left us in awe. There was so much value there, yet it wasn’t enough. We needed to redefine not just our purpose, but ourselves. And so, we made a choice.
This choice wasn’t easy, but it was necessary. We decided to shed the guilt and embrace a new identity—one that aligns with our vision and values. That’s how Gabeln Studio was born. With this transformation, we hope to face the challenges ahead with clarity, creativity, and courage.
We’re here to start a movement. To shift perspectives. To bring the deserving attention back to art and design. In the words of Will Toledo, “Art gets what it deserves.” Too often, criticism is dismissed as hate, and shallow content overshadows the meaningful. This numbs our ability to question, to think deeply, and to value what truly matters.
At Gabeln, we want to change that. We want to help people recognize the impact of what they consume. It shapes how they see the world and their place in it. We want them to uncover their purpose, to cherish their journey, and to embrace their unique character.
